Council & Committees
Bay Shore’s Council is the leadership arm of the church which helps with governance and operations, including:
Our nominating committee selects individuals for the council each January. Elections are held in February.
1 Corinthians 12:4-6 says “There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work.”
We have a variety of different ministries at Bay Shore Lutheran Church that allow our congregation to find ways we can serve God.

Outreach and Marketing
Members of Bay Shore see themselves as ever-growing into their faith, and an important part of that growth is giving–money, time, and creativity. Our offerings are a hugely important way we are the presence of God in the world! The Stewardship committee devotes most of its energy inspiring the members to pledge their financial resources to Bay Shore’s ministries that bring healing to the world and bring us closer to God. The committee is excited to begin participating in the “Stewardship for All Seasons” training through the Greater Milwaukee Synod of the ELCA.
It’s important to always meet new people at church and have fun doing it. This committee coordinates a variety of fellowship activities to enable the congregation to engage with each other, including events like a Brewers Game, a night at the theater, and even a fundraiser dinner.
The Bay Shore Lutheran Church Foundation was organized to carry out the religious, charitable and educational purposes of Bay Shore Lutheran Church. This is accomplished by the annual granting of funds to groups within Bay Shore Lutheran Church as well as other ELCA – related ministries in the Milwaukee area.
