Hello, Bay Shore!
I don’t know about you, but I’ve enjoyed our spring weather. But looking ahead, I see snow in the forecast. Well, it’s Wisconsin, right?
Personally, I want to rush Spring and plant my vegetables. But I can’t. They won’t survive the freezes still to come, and I just need to be patient.
As I write this, my arm is aching. I had my second shot today. And like the urge to plant before the freeze, I really, really want to rush things. I want to go to a movie theater, I want to hug a stranger (yes, I was known to do that), and I want to drink coffee in a crowded coffee house and chat with people and not wince when I hear a cough.
But I can’t rush time. I bet you understand.
Soon, though. Soon. Just as I am plotting out my garden beds, the staff and council will plot out our steps for an early summer re-opening. How it will look? Well, I’m not positive. But come mid-May, I’ll email you all and let you know what we think we can do and when.
Until then, I’ll keep my impatience in check—not an easy thing. But my aching arm? It helps. And it provides a lot of hope.
Blessings and peace to you and your loved ones,
