Beacon Newsletter April 3 2020

  • April 3, 2020
We will post on our Beacon Newsletter here every Friday.

Holy Week is upon us!  It begins this Sunday and concludes on Easter.

This Sunday, April 5, we will begin virtual worship at 10 a.m. on Zoom only. Danny Ellis, our Choir Director, and Dulcie Shoener, our Minister of Music, will not be using Facebook Live, but instead we will all gather as one on Zoom.  You can click HERE to see the complete Holy Week schedule.

Holy Week begins with palm branches and a processional. Sadly, we are not able to do so this year at Bay Shore, but you can still get in the spirit!  You can make your own palm branches.  You can also cut some branches from your own yards, and hang them on your door as a sign that its Palm Sunday. Or, you can help little ones make palm wavers, too.  Click on the blue, underlined links here in the paragraph for more help.

Liturgy for all of our services is now available online, too. You can click here to see a folder filled with our basic liturgy, with prayers, responses and readings.

For more personal, reflective posts about Holy Week, and how you can create a worshipful setting in your own homes for the services, please visit our “stories” page on our website.  Pastor Sarah posts often, and all of our emails and documents are shared there, too.

Blessings to you and your loved ones during this special season,
Bay Shore Lutheran Staff
